Welcome to the Ethnobotanical Gardens of Leymebamba! Here you’ll have the chance to discover, enjoy, relax, and above all, get to know the natural resources of this corner of Peru. At the same time, you’ll have the chance to engage with a community that has preserved its ancient customs and traditions across time.
The Ethnobotanical Gardens of Leymebamba are the first decentralized botanical garden of Peru. As a garden circuit, each is owned and maintained by a family committed to sustainable management of the environment and to the conservation of traditional knowledge. Each of the gardens offers a variety of species to explore, including medicinal plants, native plants, flowering plants, plants that attract pollinators, and more.
